Plan your Piedmont stay during one of the many different events taking place all year round.
Traditional celebrations, historical re-enactments, food & wine festivals, opera theatre, art and design exhibitions, fairs and markets.
PALIO di Asti
A horse racing dating back to the 13th century, which involves a whole city in the representation of a spectacular Medieval pageantry, with flag flyers, good-luck dinners, blessing of the horses and a magnificant parade in rich costumes.
Although the one in Alba is undoubtely the most important and renown, minor white truffle festivals in other towns and villages in South Piedmont are worth a visit, surely for those who like to stay “far from the madding crowd”.
Art and design are a lively presence in Turin all year round, together with music, dance, theatre and opera. Without forgetting the numerous exhibitions taking place in the other cities and venues in Piedmont.
In the Land of Wine, it is so natural to take the opportunity of tasting a variety of different productions: local, national and international too. VINUM in Alba, DOUJA D’OR in Asti, and many, many more.
SLOW FOOD events
Born a few decades ago in contrast with the fast food philosophy, the Slow Food movement has deep roots in Piedmont, where they organize some outstanding festivals like Salone del Gusto in Torino and Cheese in Bra.
